Assistant Company Secretary for a Well Renowned Group.

#Location: Dhaka

#Deadline: 15/09/20

#Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

#Responsible for: Compliance, Regulatory and Secretarial Duties

#Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Chairman and other board members for corporate affairs.
  • Prepare agendas and papers for board meeting, minutes and follow up on action points.
  • Ensure policies are kept up to date and approved by the Management/Board.
  • Maintain statutory records, including registers of members, directors etc.
  • Renewals of all kind of license & agreement of company, RJSC, SEC, Tax & VAT, CCIE, Land registry Office, payment of land rents, Department of Environment & Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).
  • Case handling, getting legal opinions in appropriate cases, liaison with legal counsel.
  • Vetting of contracts/agreements and submission of periodical regulatory returns.
  • Collate information, write reports and communicate decisions to relevant company stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
  • Liaise with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.
  • Monitor, review and execute all sorts of requirements of the company with outside parties.

#Qualifications/ Experience:

  • The prospective candidate should:
  • Preferably be a qualified Chartered Secretary having 3-5 years working experience in a formal organization.
  • Have excellent command over English both in writing and speaking.
  • Have interpersonal communication skill.
